Hong Kong - Where East Blends with the West

Hong Kong which is located on the south coast of China is known as one of the world’s important financial city. Hong Kong is a cosmopolitan city which is well seen in its cuisine, cinema, music, culture and traditions. It once used to be a part of the Imperial China under the Qin dynasty. Later the British showed their supremacy in this place and the effects of which can be seen in the life-style of the people. Therefore, it is often said to be the place where east blends with the west.

The western influence can also be seen in the Hong Kong’s cuisine. Hong Kong City also characterizes numerous skyscrapers. Some of the most recognized buildings in Hong Kong are Two International Finance Centre, HSBC Headquarters Building, the Central Plaza, the Center with its neon light and many more. However, apart from these modern styled buildings the city also has some noted historical structures like the Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower, the Central Police Station and the Kowloon Walled City. Hong Kong is a very vibrant city to visit.
